For those of you who have been to The Container Store before, you probably agree with me when I say it is jam packed full of things you think you don’t really need…that is until you actually get it. And then you aren’t really sure how you ever lived without it.
For those of you who have never been, you are probably wondering what one item is universally life changing. I could name a few, however, the Under Sink Organizer should probably be in your shopping cart next time you visit TCS in person, or virtually online.
The cabinet under most kitchen sinks is home to a variety of cleaning products necessary to maintain a household, as well as some miscellaneous other things, and ours was no different. I don’t know many people who have a rhyme or a reason to their under sink organization, and going through many houses on a monthly basis, I haven’t seen many either.
The cabinet under our sink never really made me feel anxious due to the lack of organization and I never felt compelled to do anything about it until one fateful day, D asked if I had bought vinegar at the store and he couldn’t see it sitting right in front of his face.
Exhibit A: Our under sink before the organizer came into our life.
The worst part about this is debatably the horrible photo quality despite the definite room for improvement on the organizational front but I can for a fact state that I have seen worse. It wasn’t until after experiencing the inability to see something right in front of my face, I had a conversation with my TCS guru, my mother, and she suggested the under sink organizer.
Exhibit B: Our under sink after the organizer
In addition to the two levels to disburse the items, the organizer also features two drawers that allow for easier access and less reaching required to obtain all the things you may need.
After installing the organizer, I have to admit, it didn’t necessarily maximize my storage. The garbage disposal and pipes could be partly to blame because they take up so much space. Despite the lack of additional storage, I would still suggest this is worth the investment if you are like me and believe time is money and hate digging for things longer than necessary. Not to mention if you are considering selling your home, the less cluttered your home and cabinets are, the better.
What do you think? Would you get this? Or do you have any better solutions to under sink organization? Tell me in the comments below!
As always, thanks for reading!

It’s amazing how much better we can feel when we organize behind our closed doors aka under the sink. And under the sink organizers help out so much!

I need to organize under my sink cabinets. I also need to get rid of old cleaning supplies that I will never use.

Most of forget us about the clutter under our kitchen sinks because we can close that little door and keep on trucking.
Fact is that when we get organized, it takes less time to find what we want and get a job done. I’m all in on this organizer. Looks great too. ????

Ugh! I need to organize EVERYTHING in my house, but we will be moving in about a year, so I don’t want to get too much stuff … though, now that I say that, a year is a really long time.

I love how the shelf under the sink cabinet turned out! I always wonder about how different products will fit within my home – I accidentally bought the wrong silverware holder 5 times! Did not fit my drawer haha.

I really like the way the trays slide. It is such a good idea for areas that are hard to reach.

I really like your organizing system. The bottom of my sink is a mess and I have a hard time finding anything so I will definitely be trying some of these suggestions!

I definitely need this product in my life!! We don’t have a garbage disposal (I wish we did!!) and we surprisingly have very large cabinet space under our sink because our house is pretty old. Something like this would definitely help us out!

I keep a caddy under my sink so I can take it around the house, but the rest of the stuff down there needs some serious organizing! I wonder if a shelf like that would work under my sink.

Ha-ha, your under sink area is not going to look like this once you have kids. Small kids find under sink area the most fascinating place in the house. Every baby proofing gadget we tried was helpless in the hands of my little engineers. So, we ended up clearing the place off anything dangerous (aka cleaning supplies). Now it hosts empty plastic containers that we use for arts and crafts.

It is probably a good thing that the container store isn’t near me…I am constantly trying to think of new ways to organize my stuff. Then this year, I realized I was sick of taking care of everything and pared down to the bare minimum. This looks awesome and helpful.

You were right, I never really I thought I needed to fix my under sink situation…until I saw this lol. I agree that under the sink is really difficult to figure out how to organize, but this seems like a great way to address that.

I don’t use that exact setup – but I do use containers and buckets and have for years. After a sink that kept dripping and leaking – I never set anything under the sink any longer unless it is IN something.

I love this! I have tried to find just the right under the sink organizer for years! The drain pipe really gets in the way and it’s hard to find one to fit. But, I’d try this one b/c it looks like a better system!

I need this in my life! It turned out so good! I am ready to be organized from head to toe!

Mine definitely looks like your before. However I also have my pipes and stuff under there just like yours and I’m not sure if it will really make much of a difference.

I think you have done a great job, I know what you mean it can be such a time consuming task but it feels so much better when it is clean. I like to purge too.

I’ve only been to the Container Store once, and found it both overwhelming and packed with lots of great organizational items. I really like the design of this under the sink organizer, especially since it takes into account pipes and the disposal.

The way I describe the store to people who do not go there often is that it is full of a whole bunch of stuff you didn’t know you need but then once you have it you don’t know how you lived without it!
